Rainbow Snippet for 12/17/16

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation.

In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQ+. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.

Here’s another snippet from Love Keeps Giving, during which Orlando muses on what may have helped prevent his impending panic attack.

Orlando went with his suggestion every time, grateful beyond belief that one more decision was out of his hands. After a while, he started to feel…almost calm. More centered, anyway. And now that the panic had receded, he was starting to notice little things, like the way Geoff’s steel-blue eyes danced whenever he made a joke, and the way his jeans clung to him in just the right places. Orlando snickered silently; he must be feeling better if he was right back to lusting after Hot Coffee Shop Guy. Or maybe it was just that certain things—Geoff’s butt, in particular—could transcend terror and major life upheaval.
