Rainbow Snippet for 12/31/16
Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation.
In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQ+. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.
Happy New Year, everyone! Today, I have a New Year-themed snippet from Love Keeps Giving, where Orlando and Geoff are discussing their New Year’s plans.
“I could probably do New Year’s,” Orlando said, nodding. Hell, given another week to get used to the idea, he might even be able to do it without his diazepam.
“We’ll drink cheap champagne and watch the ball drop on TV while the kids are overstimulated and screaming their heads off and the adults are all falling asleep. You’ll love it.”
“Sounds awful. I probably will.”

Ha…sounds like my kind of New Year’s Eve. An hour and a half to go, and I’m about to fall asleep!

Sweet, with just a touch of humor, not to mention a situation a lot of us can identify with! 🙂
